Please, dear LaRocca family, accept my belated heartfelt condolences. I just learned of Karen's passing and watched the beautiful video posted here. So many memories flooded to mind and time seems to have gone by so quickly. I stopped posting or looking at posts on FB years ago, which is how I had kept up with Karen and her life. I am not in touch with many people and wish I had known sooner. My first grandchild thought of Karen is how she loved jokes, and joking around. She had a big heart and cared about everyone. I'm sorry I lost touch with all of the LaRocca family I spent many days with hanging out with Jeanne at her house. I got to see Mr. LaRocca in his VFW uniform often at the town events my kids sang at. It was nice to catch up with everyone at various times when they came, too. He is missed at these events. Karen was a very kind, sweet, and loving woman. I remember meeting her when I was in 5th grade transferring schools (her son Christian and I graduated from Van Cort together) and she always had a smile on her face. Anytime I ever needed something, whether it was a ride to school, or a favor, or even lunch or breakfast, Karen was there and always willing to help. She always looked out for others before herself. She will always be remembered as a caring and compassionate woman, and my prayers are with Christian and her immediate and extended family.
