Obituary of John D'Onofrio

John D’Onofrio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at the New York-Presbyterian Hudson Valley  Hospital in Cortlandt Manor NY, he was 73 years of age.

He was born on February 11, 1947, to Gerardo and Maria Elena. He went on to serve as a Sergeant in the Vietnam War from 1966-1968 and later worked as a Groundskeeper and Masonry until he reached the age of retirement. He then went on to enjoy the remainder of his time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

John is survived by his wife; Loretta, his daughters; Eileen, Loraine, Denise, Linda, his sons; Tony and Lenny, his 16 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandson.

John has touched many hearts with his sense of humor, gardening, cooking, and even his smile, and will be deeply missed by all.

Family, friends, and others whose lives have been touched by John are invited to Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home on Sunday, November 22, 2020, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Funeral Mass will be held at the Church of the Assumption on Monday, November 23, 2020, at 11:30 am.

Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
