Obituary of Alessandra Pandolfi
Alessandra Pandolfi, (Alice) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her daughter’s home in Gainesville, Georgia on November 13, 2021, at the age of 99.
She was born in Peekskill, New York on February 11, 1922, to Antonio and Maria (nee Nardone), Alice was a long-time resident of Peekskill where she had maintained her business “Alice’s Specialty Shop”.
One of her many earlier jobs that she was most proud of was working as a riveter at the Eastern Aircraft Division during World War II. She was very involved with the Christopher Columbus Club Auxiliary, Saint Francis of Assisi Unit, Gray Franciscan Guild and, the Westchester Heart Fund.
She moved to Boca Raton Florida and lived there for approximately 35 years and relocated back to Peekskill in 2018 where she resided at her former grammar school which was converted to the Drum Hill Senior Center. She spent her last few unexpected weeks with her daughter in Gainesville, Georgia.
Alice is predeceased by Her parents Antonio and Maria Musto, her husband Vincent Pandolfi, and her oldest son James Pandolfi, her sisters and brother Mary Landolfi, Vincenza Musto, Julia Petrillo, and Hugo Musto.
She is survived by her children Eugene (Leeta) Pandolfi, Alice (Kenneth) DiPrima, Vincent (Lori) Pandolfi, and her daughter-in-law Deanna Pandolfi, 11 grandchildren, 20 Great-Grandchildren, several nephews and nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces, and her one sister-in-law Jean Musto.
Visitation will be held at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home 414 Washington Street, Peekskill, NY on Thursday, November 18, 2021, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at the Church of the Assumption on Friday, November 19, 2021, at 10:00 am, Officiated by Father Carlos Limongi.
Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery
