We lived down the street on Barway Drive. I remember the Scalzo’s always had a big camper. Mr Scalzo used to mow his lawn every Saturday. He was very meticulous about it. Their home always looked so nice I have a vivid memory of when I was in elementary school. Sandy invited me for dinner one night. I always was a pretty good eater. Well I don’t remember what the dinner was but whatever the vegetable was I didn’t want to eat. The next thing I know there was a small hour glass put in front of me. I was told I needed to finish before it was out. My little heart was so stunned. I think about that often when my grandkids are visiting and don’t eat anything. It’s a totally different time. Maybe I should get an hourglass! Unfortunately I don’t have any pictures. But we had a wonderful street to grow up on. I always felt safe and we always played outside with friends. I have wonderful memories from that time of my life. The Scalzo’s are definitely one of the families that are part of those great memories. Sending our thoughts and prayers, Teresa Consaga Gelinne
