Lisa Louise Hintze-Schwer, 68, a lifelong Peekskill, New York resident, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026, in her hometown.

Born on May 11, 1957, in Peekskill, NY  she was the daughter of the late Richard and Joan Hintze. Lisa graduated from Peekskill High School and went on to attend Barbizon. She later worked for the City of Peekskill for many years before retiring. She was also predeceased by Peter Schwer, father of her sons.

She is survived by her three sons: Carl Schwer (Kathrine), Adam Schwer (Tamara), and Philip Schwer (Crystal); her 12 grandchildren: Rebecca, Audrey, Braedan, Matiley, Hudson, Emmy, Baylor, Angie, Sabrina, Philip John II, Vanessa, and Charley; and her sisters, Darcy Pabon and Betsey Digregorio.

Lisa enjoyed cooking, spending time with family, as well and being outdoors.Her love for her family was the cornerstone of her life. She especially enjoyed beach vacations at the Jersey shore, as well as time by the club pool with her friends. She had a fondness for dogs and shared her life with several beloved pets. Lisa was a member of Peekskill Presbyterian Church most of her life, and found comfort in her faith.

A Memorial Mass will be Offered 11am Saturday January 17, 2026 at Peekskill Presbyterian Church 705 South St Peekskill, NY 10566. In lieu of flowers, The family kindly requests donations be made to Peekskill Presbyterian Church.
