Duane T. O'Brien Obituary

Duane O’Brien, 61, passed away on January 24, 2026, in Cortlandt Manor. Born on November 29, 1964, Duane lived a full and joyful life marked by hard work, laughter, and love.

Duane proudly worked on the overnight crew at ShopRite in Cortlandt Manor for nearly 10 years. He found happiness in the simple pleasures of fishing, playing his drums, working on his race car, and enjoying an ice-cold beer. Above all, Duane loved his family. He also adored his bearded dragon, Ms. Puggs, and his cat.

He is survived by his sister-in-law Kathy O’Brien, his sister Bonnie O’Brien, and his nieces and nephews, Deidra, Nichole, Kelly, Kevin, Alexis, and Christian. He was the very best great uncle to Detrien, Nicky, Jackson, and Kori.

Duane was predeceased by his parents, Eugene and Gertrude O’Brien, and his brother, Kevin O’Brien.

Duane will be truly missed and fondly remembered for his fun-loving outlook on life and the joy he brought to everyone who knew him.
