Donald Herman Mann, Sr., 89, of Cortlandt Manor, NY, passed away on March 22, 2026, with his loving wife, Patricia by his side.

Born to Luella and Herman Mann on March 24, 1936, Donald grew up in Middletown, NY. Donald enjoyed a life-long love of music and even performed in a band, “Billy and the Country Rockers,” in his younger days where he played the pedal steel guitar. He settled in Cortlandt Manor, NY in the late 1950’s where he raised his two children, Elna and Donald Jr. (pre-deceased). Donald was a proud, hard-working member of the crane operator’s union for 48 years where he helped build New York City’s skyline. He also enjoyed riding his Harley in his spare time. 

Above all, Donald cherished his family. He married the love of his life, Patricia Higgins, in 1988, and they celebrated 38 years of marriage. He is survived by his sister Bernice and brother Joe. Donald is also survived by his stepchildren, Patricia, Robin (pre-deceased), Michele, Michael, Tina and Jimmy (pre-deceased). Donald leaves a legacy of 19 grandchildren: Danel Wilson, David Pecora, Joy McCray, Brianna Martin, Amanda Deagan, Joseph Calabro, Danielle Franzoso, Anthony Franzoso, Peter Franzoso, Tricia Franzoso, Dana Solit, Michael O’dell, Michelle Baldini, Stephanie Baldini, Jessica Deagan, Melissa Mann, Nicole Deagan, Gianna Deagan, and Johnny Matthews. He also leaves behind 21 great-grandchildren.

Donald was a faithful servant of God and led of life of kindness and modesty.

Per his wishes, there will not be public service. The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
