Lidio Guerriero Obituary

Lidio Bruno Guerriero, 78, of Montrose, New York, passed away on April 30, 2026.

Born in Monteleone, Italy, Lidio immigrated to the United States with his family at the age of five, settling in Tuckahoe, New York. He carried his roots with pride throughout his life while building a life defined by hard work, curiosity, and dedication.

A man of many talents, Lidio explored a wide range of trades over the years. Out of high school, he attended Atlas Barber School in NYC, and upon graduation, he worked in his brother Eldo's barbershop.  He then trained as an electrician and was part-owner of L&L Electric Company, and ultimately found his place as a maintenance/electrician at Edgemont School High School in Scarsdale, New York, from where he retired.

No matter the role, he was known for his strong work ethic and ability to fix just about anything. Lidio had a passion for life that showed in his many hobbies. He loved trains, working on cars, and attending car shows, where he proudly won numerous trophies for his prized Durango. He enjoyed time at the campground, and he was an enthusiastic CB radio operator. His handle was “Road Runner or Double R,” for short, which is how he met his beloved wife. He was also a licensed ham radio operator with the call sign KB2PW and a devoted wrestling fan. Lidio also enjoyed camping and spent many years as a seasonal camper with his family.

Above all, Lidio was a family man. He is survived by his loving wife, Teresa; his daughter Jaimie and son-in-law Daniel; his brother-in-law Michael Camporeale; his sister Carmella Torrance, sister-in-law Eloise; and many cherished nieces and nephews, including Michael, Joey, Angela, Reina, Doug, Allie, Thomas, and Benjamin. He was predeceased by his parents, Giuseppe and Angelina; his brothers, Eldo and Anthony; and his sister, Marie.

Lidio will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his many talents, and the deep love he had for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of resilience, skill, and devotion that will not be forgotten, and he will be deeply missed.
