Michael Daniel Perez was born on June 25, 1995, to Iliana and Felix Perez. Michael was raised in love by his parents and older siblings, Matthew and Elyse, who served as his confidants, protectors, and most importantly, his friends.

Born and raised in Peekskill, New York, Michael was an active member of his school, church, and neighborhood communities; his light shone brightly in the lives of all those he touched.

A lover of music, video games, and pop culture, Michael was a talented performer and orator. He could capture a room with his stories and humor.

Michael’s greatest mission was to bring light to the darkest of corners, and he did so with conviction–understanding the complexity, fragility, and sensitivity of this world. Michael’s power to evoke laughter and smiles anywhere he graced truly embodies who he was to everyone in his life.

Michael's heart was never truly his alone. He was a gift-giver by nature, tender and thoughtful, the kind of soul who noticed what others needed before they spoke it aloud. His love was not just felt; it was given, wrapped carefully, and placed in the hands of everyone he held dear.

And even in death, that generosity did not leave him. As an organ donor, Michael's heart will continue to beat in this world, a living testament to who he was. His legacy is not simply the memory he left behind, but the life he continues to give.

Michael will continue his adventures with Lise and Mia – after all, a hero’s journey never ends.

Michael is survived by his parents, Iliana and Felix; his siblings Elyse and Matthew, his sister-in-law Stephanie, brother-in-law Kyle, and his nieces, Jordyn and Isabella, and nephew, Gabriel.

Visitation will be held at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington Street, Peekskill, NY, on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Funeral Mass will be held at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 1969 Crompond Road, Cortlandt Manor, NY, on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 10:15 am.

Private Cremation Ceremony to follow.
