Cruz Hortencia Romero Idrovo, 72, was called home by the Lord after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. A woman of deep faith, she strongly believed in Jesus and lived with love, strength, and devotion throughout her life. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. May she rest in eternal peace.

Cruz is survived by her siblings, nieces, nephews, and dear friends, who will continue to cherish her memory and carry her love in their hearts forever.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington St, Peekskill, NY 10566

Funeral Mass will be held at Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at the Church of the Assumption, 131 Union Ave, Peekskill, NY 10566

Afterward, her remains will be repatriated to Ecuador.
