Farida Saudia Brady was born July 25, 1944, in N.Y.C. to Anna Mae Gory and Edward James Brady.

Farida left N.Y.C. and went to live with her Maternal Grandmother and Grandfather in Montrose, NY after the passing of her Mother and the deployment of her Father, a career military officer.

She attended Montrose Elementary and Hendricks Hudson High School where she excelled at Shorthand and Typing. She went on to earn her LPN from BOCES and a Social Work Degree from Mercy College in 1978.

For several years Farida worked at the F.D.R.V.A. Hospital in Montrose.  She also worked at Skyview Nursing Home and finally retired after working many years at the Woodfield Cottage Juvenile Facility in Valhalla.

She found time to also serve as a Medical Assistant in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Among those left to cherish her memory are her loving, devoted partner and husband, Stanford Gibbs, along with her son, Carlton Huff, and Daughters-in-Law, Mary Huff and children Jessica and Tyler, and Kinuyo Warren and her children Sayaka, Akina, Toshio and Mika.

Farida has six great-grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Sadly, Farida was predeceased by her two older sons, Edward James Warren and Aaron Huff.

Visitation will be held at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home on Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm
