Eulogio Rial, a long time resident of Peekskill, NY and Cape Coral, Fl passed away in the early morning hours of January 7, 2017. He was born in 1936 in the Galicia region of Spain, one of four brothers. Eulogio married Concepcion Diaz (Conchi) on December 31, 1969 and moved to Peekskill, NY to raise two sons, Francis and Alex. Eulogio and Conchi retired to Cape Coral, FL in 2007.

Growing up in difficult times, Eulogio began working at the early age of thirteen. He found work as a mason, on fishing boats, and as a laborer. At the age of eighteen he served in the Spanish Navy. Afterwards, he met his soulmate Conchi in Barcelona, Spain. There he worked many years in the Post Office. He chased in his dream to move to America in 1968. In 1969, he returned to Spain, and married Conchi, the love of his life. Together Eulogio and Conchi returned to America, settled in Peekskill, NY and began to build their dreams. Eulogio took pride in working hard and providing for his family, eventually working at General Motors as an assembly line worker for 21 years.

When he wasn't working or spending time with his family, Eulogio enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. Eulogio loved to tell jokes, he could never get enough of seeing others laugh and smile. We will always remember him as a rugged, strong man with a tender and compassionate soul.

Eulogio is survived by his wife Conchi, his son Alex, his son Francis and daughter-in-law Julie, and his granddaughters Melissa, Amanda and Cristina.

Viewing will be held on Monday, January 9th, from 2-3:30pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Funeral service will follow visitation at 3:30pm.
