Ralph Anderson Sr. (the greatest father and grandfather in the world) passed away on December 31, 2016. He was 96 years old.
Ralph was born on February 20, 1920. Affectionately referred to as “Andy,” he served as a Chief Fire Controlman for six years as a member of the United States Navy during World War II. After his service he worked as a Safety Specialist for the Veterans Administration. A resident of Buchanan, NY, he significantly influenced his family and all to whom he came in contact. His incredible knowledge and ability to express himself and his experiences greatly impacted all those lucky enough to know him.
Ralph was predeceased by his parents Ernst & Agnes Anderson and his sister Agnes Miller. He is survived by his loving wife Josephine to whom he was married for 70 years. Also surviving are his sons Ralph & Joseph, his daughters in law Frances and Beth, his six grandchildren Danielle, Nicole, Ralph, Stephen, Marc, & Michael, and his four great grandchildren Jack, Mady, Skye, & Lia.
As a spouse, father, and grandfather he will be missed more than words can express. His loving heart and his enthusiasm for life and his family will not be forgotten. We love you Andy, Dad, & Grandpa.
Visitation , Monday, January 2, 2017 from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. Funeral Service, Tuesday, January 3, 2017 , 10:00am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor, NY.
