Obituary of Domenico Federico

Domenico Federico of Peekskill died on December 14, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was 90. Mr. Federico was born on October 6, 1926 in Italy to Giuseppe and Concetta Federico. On December 15, 1949 he married Rosaria Federico in San Valentino, Italy. He served in the Italian Alpini and in 1969 he immigrated to the United States. He moved to Peekskill in 1970 and worked at Georgia Pacific for 21 years. Locally, he was a parishioner of the Assumption Church. Domenico enjoyed spending time reminiscing with his family and friends, gardening, and especially making homemade wine. Predeceased by his wife Rosaria and three brothers, Luciano, Emidio, and Valentino, Domenico will be sadly missed by his loving daughters, Maria Federico (Giuseppe) of Italy, and Lucia Pascetta (Filippo) of Peekskill; grandchildren, Paola, Sandro (Daniela), Rosaria (Gino), Joseph and Maria; six great-grandchildren; nephews; nieces; as well as many dear relatives. Calling hours are Sunday, December 18th, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, December 19th, 10:00 am at the Assumption Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
