” Thomas F. Fitzgerald Jr., 62 of Cortlandt Manor, NY born and raised in Peekskill, NY passed away peacefully on December 5, 2016.

Mr. Fitzgerald was born in December 1953 in Peekskill, NY to Thomas and Lucy Fitzgerald, educated at Assumption School and Peekskill High school, graduating in 1971. He married Marilyn Hubner in 1981, and soon after the couple was blessed with three children, Dawn, Thomas, and Brendon. During a 41 year career at Con Edison he worked his way up from a Mechanic to Project Manager in Facilities Management, he retired in 2014. Known to many as “Fitzy” or “Captain Tom” he was a proud Vice Commodore of the Cortlandt Yacht Club where he loved yachting and spending time with friends at the club.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Fitzgerald, children Dawn, Thomas, Brendon, and his cherished grandson Damien. He is also survived by his five siblings; Patrick Fitzgerald, Kathy Townsend Fitzgerald, Joseph Fitzgerald, Anne Fitzgerald Gile, Elizabeth Fitzgerald Riley; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his beloved brother Michael Fitzgerald who passed in 2014. He will be dearly missed by all, and remembered for his love and dedication to his family, friends, and colleagues.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 8th and Friday, December 9th from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm at Nardone Funeral Home. A Mass of Catholic burial will be held on Saturday, December 10th, at 10:00am at Assumption Church in Peekskill, NY. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Cortlandt Manor. Luncheon at the Cortlandt Yacht Club immediately following interment.”
