James J. Galligan of Garrison, NY went to heaven on November 27, 2016. He was 90 years old. Mr. Galligan had worked for IBM in procurement prior to retiring after 25 years of service. He was born on June 11, 1926 in New York City to Patrick and Kathleen Sorahan Galligan. On April 11, 1953 he married Veronica O’Farrell in New York, NY. He is survived by six children; Kevin (Denise) Galligan of Lorton, VA, James (Sybil) Galligan of Ashburn, VA, Eileen Galligan of Fishkill, Patrick Galligan of Wallkill, NY, Michael Galligan of St. Petersburg, FL and Kathleen (Mark) Dandreano of Garrison. Grandchildren; Emerald, Sean, Felicia, James, Ava, James, Patrick, Brian, Elizabeth, Matthew and Veronica. Great grandchildren, Jade, Sean, Raina, Patrick and Tyler. Also surviving is a brother, Brendan (Marilyn) Galligan of Franklin Square, NY, a sister, Bernadette Riordan of Elmont, NY and sister-in-law Peggy Galligan of Staten Island. Predeceased by his wife, Veronica Galligan, daughter-in-law Kristine Galligan, a brother, Thomas Galligan and a sister, Ann (Nancy) Corrigan. Visitation is Wednesday, November 30th from 2-4pm & 7-9pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, December 1st, 10am at the Assumption Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
