Catherine F. Brophy a life-long resident of Peekskill, NY passed away on November 11, 2016. She was 93 years old. Mrs. Brophy had worked as a Supervisor for NY Telephone Co. in Peekskill, NY. She was born on August 6, 1923 to Arthur and Margaret Murphy Grab. Catherine married Joseph Brophy in 1945. He predeceased her in 1974. She is survived by her son Vincent Brophy and his wife Cynthia of Peekskill, two grandchildren; Kelly (Andrew) Brophy-Hollis of Putnam Valley and Shane (Lindsay Giacomantonio) Brophy of Peekskill. Also survived by, three great grandchildren, Ryan and Emily Hollis and Joseph Brophy. Visitation is Monday, November 14th from 4pm to 8pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, November 15th, 10am at the Assumption Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
