Obituary of Elena Diulio

Elena Diulio of Peekskill NY, entered into eternal rest on November 19th, 2017. She was 88 years of age. Elena was born in Bellona Caserta, Italy on September 28th, 1929 to Giuseppe DiRubbo and Antonietta (nee) Noselli. She immigrated to the United States in 1949, at the age of 20, with several family members who settled in Peekskill, New York. In 1953, she met the love of her life Lauro Diulio, who was also of Peekskill, NY. They were married in March of 1954 and went on to have two wonderful children, Annette and Larry. Prior to retiring, Elena worked as a seamstress for the Royalad Manufacturing Company, and later for the Nan Flower Manufacturing Company, both of which were located in Peekskill, NY. Elena is Pre-Deceased by her Parents Giuseppe, and Antonietta, Her Brothers Silvio, Nicola, Ercole, and her Sisters Maria, and Giovanna. Elena is survived by her loving Husband Lauro, her Daughter Annette (Costantino) Blasioli, her Son Larry (Michele) Diulio, Grandchildren Cristina (Tim) Ludden, Alex (Melissa) Blasioli, Costantino (Fran) Blasioli, Gabrielle Diulio, Vincent Diulio, Great Grand Children Samuel Ludden, Brother Pete DiRubbo, Sister Josephine Astrologo. Elena was a proud, beautiful, quiet but strong woman who loved gardening, traveling with the Peekskill Senior Citizens Club, but most of all she loved and enjoyed every single minute she was able to spend with her family. She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 21st from 2pm-4pm & 7pm-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of the Assumption on Wednesday, November 22nd at 10:00am, internment to follow at the Assumption Cemetery.
