Mary F. Alterio of Peekskill, NY, 102 years old, passed away on November 4, 2016. A homemaker, Mary was born on May 16, 1914 in Peekskill to Dominick and Christina Canoca Annacone. She married Frank Alterio at the Assumption Church in Peekskill. Mary was a past member of the Centennial Hose and Christopher Columbus Ladies Auxiliaries and also loved to play bingo. She is survived by six grandchildren; Dina (Jeff) Sackal, David (Denise) Alterio, Frank (Elizabeth) Galeazzo, Jodi Galeazzo, Daniel (Joanna) Alterio and Robert Galeazzo. Six great grandchildren; Jeffrey and Elizabeth Sackal, Griffin and Gabby Alterio, Bradley and Ashlyn Galeazzo. Also, survived by son-in-law Louis Galeazzo and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Frank Alterio, a daughter Mary Ann Galeazzo and her son Anthony Alterio and daughter-in-law Jaqueline Alterio. Also predeceased by three brothers; Thomas, Anthony (Pete) and Sam Annacone and three sisters; May Mirra, Carrie Marino and Rose LaBoda. Visitation is Friday, November 11th, 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, November 12th, 10am at the Assumption Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
