Vincent A. DeThomasis of Buchanan, NY passed away on September 25, 2016. He was 69 years old. Vincent had worked as a mechanic and was retired from Metro-North Railroad, Croton-on-Hudson. He was born on February 19, 1947 in Peekskill to Andrew and Louise Salvate DeThomasis. He attended local area schools and graduated from Peekskill High School. Vincent served in the US Air Force from 1971 to 1975.

He is survived by his mother, Louise DeThomasis of Peekskill, a sister Diane Picciano and her husband, Andrew. Also surviving are two nieces Michelle (Nicholas) Esposito and Victoria (Wesley) Salis, great nephew Wesley Salis and his best buddies Franklin & Max.

Visitation is Tuesday, September 27th, from 2-4pm & 7-9pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Wednesday, September 28th, 10am at the Assumption Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
