Obituary of Luz Nereida Rivera

It is with great sadness that the family of Luz Nereida Rivera announces her sudden passing. Luz entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the age of 36.

We celebrate the life of our dearly beloved Luz Nereida Rivera, whom her parents and friends lovingly called Luzy or Luzecita. She was born on April 17th to her parents Hector and Luz Nereida (Nelly) Rivera. Her mother, Nelly, went to be with the Lord on March 6th, 2003. Luzy was a much desired and awaited addition to the Rivera family. Luzy was raised in Peekskill, New York where she resided for most of her life.
Luzy is daughter, sister, cousin, wife, mother and aunt to many in her immediate and extended family. She enjoyed life and spending time with her children and family. She will forever be remembered for her strength, kindness and love shared with all.

In recent years she moved to Poughkeepsie, New York where she was raising her children, Noah, Natalie and Atheena.
Luzy was reunited with her mother, Nelly on March 9, 2019. Pray for her young family so the Lord will provide comfort and peace.

Visitation will be held at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, on Sunday, March 17, 2019 from 4:00pm to 9:00pm.

Funeral Service will take place on Monday, March 18, 2019 at the Rock of Salvation Church at 7:00pm.
