Obituary of Pamela K. Strosser

Please share a memory of Pamela to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Pam was granted her angel wings on April 16, 2019 surrounded by family and friends at the age of 70. She was born October 6, 1948 and was long time resident of Peekskill.

She is survived by her loving husband and soul mate Dennis of fifty five years and three daughters: Wendy Mann (Gary), Heather Strosser (Erwin), Kristin Godinho (Will) and godson Billy Clark.  She is also survived by six loving grandchildren; Dennis, Eric, Matthew, Krystina, Olivia and William. As well as sister Joselle Cunane, and brother Eugene (Frieda) Cunane of Denver. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as great, great-great nieces and nephews and many extended family members and close friends.

She was predeceased by her father James Cunane Sr. of Ireland and mother Slyvia, brother James Cunane Jr. and sister Patricia Cunane.

Pam worked for twenty years at Shoprite in the bakery department where everyone knew and loved her. In her earlier years she was noted for baking four trays of brownies every Thursday for twelve years for The Assumption School lunch where her children attended.

At any one time her home was full with animals either pets or stray animals that her children brought home that needed help. You always had to look down when entering the house as not to step on a rabbit, a bird or baby kittens.  She even nursed back to health 2 baby squirrels in the bathroom that her children came home with.  Pam’s favorite pet was turtles of which she had many, even a large snapping turtle in a 10 gallon tank on the kitchen table, only moved to the dining room when having birthday cakes.  Less not forget the 20 Guinea pigs residing in cages in the hallway.

In her earlier years she was an avid bingo player and then graduated to slot machines which she loved to play with her friend Michele.  Both Pam and Michele were pen collectors by the hundreds.

Pam always took care of her family and friends before herself.
