Obituary of Christina L. Rasbeck

Christina L. Rasbeck passed away suddenly at her home in Peekskill, NY on Monday, October 7, 2019. She was 72 years old.

Christina was born in Peekskill to the late Harold “Doc” Rasbeck and Elizabeth Chapman Rasbeck (Betty) and was a lifelong resident of the city. She was predeceased by her brother Peter. She is survived by her sister Katrinka Howe (Tinka) of Lake Placid, Florida. She is also survived by her three children Michelle Manzer Barrera (Shelly) Chapman Manzer (Chappy) and Katrina Gans and her granddaughter, Samantha Chapman Manzer.

Christina graduated from Peekskill High School and the State University of New York at Potsdam. She spent most of her career as an educator in different programs for at risk students and people with disabilities. Christina was known for her creativity. She enjoyed sewing, art, gardening, cooking and listening to music. Christina also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home on Friday, October 11, 2019 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.

Memorial Mass will take place at St. Peters Episcopal Church on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at 12:00pm.

In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Peekskill Education Fund, or St. Peter's Episcopal Church.
