Obituary of Christine M. LaSala Romeo

Christine M. LaSala Romeo passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2019

Beloved wife of the late John S. Romeo, loving mother of Patricia Romeo-Gilbert and her husband, Paul, of Boston, MA, Juliette C. Romeo of Chicago, IL, Nancy C Romeo of Bridgewater, NJ, Christine M Romeo (Tina) of Peekskill, NY, and Robert J Romeo and his wife, Linda, of Glenville, NY, proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren, and ecstatic great-grandmother of 9 great grandchildren, sister of the late Gaspar LaSala, and his wife, Constance, of Farmington, CT  and the late Vincent LaSala and his late wife, Carol, of Williston Park, NY, sister-in-law of Frances Romeo of Eatontown, NJ.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Christine’s family was the joy of her life and her whole face smiled when she got a call. She was known as “Mom” to many. Christine was an Auxiliary Board member and Hospital volunteer at NYP-Hudson Valley Hospital Center, a member of Inner Wheel, and a Peekskill Rotary Paul Harris fellow.  She was a retired romance language teacher at Peekskill High School.

Visitation will be held at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home on Sunday, November 24, 2019 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of the Holy Spirit on Monday, November 25, 2019 at 10:00am.

Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Christine's memory may be made to Church of the Holy Spirit or NYP-Hudson Valley Hospital.
