Anthony and I met Carlos at the Edison Mall one day. We sat and talked about his life, his service in World War II and he and Anthony played. Carlos walked from his Condo on the river to the mall and sat at the mall daily. He had regular friends who came by and spoke to him. His wife had passed before. At his next birthday 5 November he was turning 95! Being a genealogist I learned he was from Puerto Rico. We looked his family up in the census records. He was amazed to see that information was available online.
I had noted his name in the Notes section of my phone that day. I ran into his name again today and thought I would Google him and saw he passed away a couple of years after our meeting. I thought I would share my photos of he and Anthony enjoying the morning together.
God Bless! RIP dear man.
