Obituary of Raymond E. Young

Raymond Edward Young, Sr., Continental Village, Cortlandt Manor, NY died peacefully with his family by his side on July 14, 2016. He was born on October 9, 1939 to Ralph and Lillian (Banker) Young in Peekskill, NY. On June 15, 1958 he married Margaret Ann Kristoferson. He worked for many years for Petro Oil in Hawthorne, NY as an Oil Burner Technician. He was a member of the Continental Village Fire Department as the Company Engineer and was also a member of the Local Union 456. He had many hobbies and enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife Margaret, daughter, Margaret (Paul) Astrologo of Lake Peekskill, NY, sons, Raymond E. (Cindy) Young, Jr. of Wappinger Falls, NY, and Scott Young of Continental Village. Ray is also survived by his grandchildren, Paul (Adrienne) Astrologo Jr. of Putnam Valley, NY, Rachel (Kevin) Santiago of Cortlandt Manor, NY, Daniel Young and Renee Young of Wappinger Falls, NY and his great grandchildren, Aiden Santiago and Jacob Lasch. He is also survived by several brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Frederick Young, sisters, Gertrude Hoffman, Catherine Gadineer, Winifred Bourne, and Marie Lent. Visitation is Sunday, July 17th, from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, July 18th at 10am. Cremation services private.
