Obituary of James C. York, Jr.
It is with great sadness that the family of James C. York, Jr. announces his sudden passing on Friday, January 17, 2020. He was 81 years of age.
James was born to James and Helen (nee) Sayre on December 28, 1938 in White Plains, NY.
He graduated from White Plains High School and then went on to serve his country in the United States Navy. During his service he proudly served upon the U.S.S Intrepid.
Upon returning from the Navy, he married Bette Zauderer in 1960. They went on to have four wonderful children; Jon, David, Kenneth, and Karen.
In 1988 he was remarried to Judith Kennedy.
He worked as a Union Electrician for forty years. He was an avid boater, enjoyed fishing, and he never turned down an opportunity to tip his elbow with a friend.
He is survived by his four adoring children; Jon (Diana), David (Colleen), Kenneth (Maria), and Karen (John). His sister; Ruth (Robert) Bott, Brother-in-Law Gene Oosterom. Grandchildren; Brian, Tyler, Christopher, Kelly, Alex, Stephen, Daniel, Michael, Victoria, Matthew, and Carolyn. As well as many nieces and nephews.
He is pre-deceased by his parents, and his sister; Gloria Oosterom.
Private Cremation Service has been selected by his loved ones.
