Bob was my mailman for many years. We shared interest in woodstoves and jukeboxes and he became a friend. I would chase his truck down on Tate Ave so I could get my mail CDs and DVDs early and he would go out of his way to dig them out for me. I enjoyed meeting family at his retirement party at the firehouse. My condolences to the family. I snapped this photo on his route. Gene Baumwoll Reynolds Hills

My heart breaks for you all ! I'm so sorry for your loss .
Bob was ALWAYS there for my parents ( neighbors) , ALWAYS with a helping hand ,
ALWAYS being sure they were okay . He was always busy out and about in the yard (a hard worker) He was never too busy to stop what he was doing to give a big smile , a wave, say hello and genuinely ask how me and the kids were doing .
My deepest condolences to the entire Merando family!

So sorry to hear about my former teammate. I enjoyed bowling with you and MJ many years ago, and even though we stopped bowling together way back when, it was always nice when we would bump into you and MJ out and about, or when you visited the lanes on the one night I still bowl. Mary-Jean, Nicholas & Jonathan,
My dear friend Mary-Jean, I am so very, sorry for your tremendous loss. Words cannot adequately impart our feelings and the love we have for you and your family!
We fondly remember our visits with you, Bob & the boys over dinner at your home, when Larry & I came out on our yearly vacations to see family & friends.
Bob will be remembered as the kind man that he was, a respected member of the community and I know he has the love of his brothers and friends from the many organizations to which he belonged. You and the boys can be very proud to call him husband and father.
