I took a photo of Mary standing in the yard holding a kitten, it was so nice, I really loved it. I wanted her to be happy and she really was, she liked the whole family so much. I know she must be happy now, she lived a good life. I feel sorry for family who miss her now. She's now with her Mom and Dad and brother in heaven.

My deepest sympathies and condolences to my Verge cousins on the loss of your sister Mary. She was my contemporary, a year older than me. I have some vivid early memories about visits to the Ossining house. Some around a play-pen, others of trying to prove who really knew how to do the twist and one about my being clever enough to stick my figure skate in an ice fishing hole and turning my foot so that I had to be rescued by a kind neighbor. I remember being impressed by the strength of Mary's personality. She didn't hesitate to say it like she saw it. No patience for bs.. She'd probably tell me right now to get real with my overly long message! God bless her. I'm sure her joy is complete on her reunion in heaven.

I remember hanging out in the old neighborhood riding bikes. Mary always telling us other kids a story. She had the sweetest laugh. Haven’t seen her in years, but never forgot her. May you RIP in the loving arms of our Lord. Condolences to the entire Verge family

My dear sister Mary,
It’s been an honor to have been your brother. So many amazing memories, like when we had mumps together and you looked like the rock man from Fantastic Four. We were always laughing, me on the couch and you on the chair. Our bike rides together that had us crashing into curbs and landing on lawns. When I tried to teach you how to drive at Brookside school and we ended up over the curb and into the field doing donuts! Thank God you never told mom! When we put the Clorox and the soap on the floor in the bathroom so that David would fall when he walked in...it was a successful mission! With a mouth like a sailor and a heart of gold and a hug when you were willing, you got me through some of my worst days. With all my love, I will miss you.
