Obituary of Wayne Edmund Stephens

Wayne E. Stephens entered into eternal rest on Saturday, 18, 2020. He was 58 years of age.  A longtime resident of Cold Spring, NY.

Wayne was born on December 13, 1961 in Tarrytown, NY to Edmund R. Stephens and Rosemarie Stephens, who predeceased him.  Wayne grew up in a large loving family with two sisters, Maryanne Heady (Kevin) , Theresa Johnson (Roy)  and three brothers, Roger who predeceased, Gary (Sue Cristo) and Edmund (Sharon).  Wayne was welcomed with opened arms into his extended family. Michael Iacino, predeceased, his wife Lidia and sister-in-law Lorraine.

Wayne married Lisa Stephens (Iacino) on October 3, 1993. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter and a ton of beautiful memories. They shared their love of the arts, travel, driving up the New England coast and simply just loved being with one another.  Wayne had a special love in his heart for nature,  especially birds.  Wayne would often be up early to catch the sunrise and looked forward to seeing the stunning sunsets. He loved just enjoying all the beautiful colors, peace and serenity. Always marveling in Gods creations.

Everyone who has ever met Wayne, if only for a few minutes, knew that he was a one of a kind, stand up individual. Wayne’s kind-hearted nature, undeniable character and fantastic storytelling will be some of his greatest qualities we will hold dear to our hearts always.  But above all of this, Waynes love for his family stood first and foremost at the center of his life.

Wayne was truly a bright light in this world.

Wayne also leaves behind his great love for his three nieces, Christina Malloy (Peter), Alexa, Olivia and four nephews, Joseph, Matthew, Michael and Lincoln. Along with many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends.

May Wayne Rest in Peace in the arms of the Lord our God forever more.
