Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Mitchell

Betty Mitchell of Peekskill, NY passed away peacefully on May 3, 2020 surrounded by her loved ones . She was 93 years of age.

She was born October 2, 1926 in Killcorn, Smithboro, County Monaghan, Ireland.

She traveled to America in 1951 and married, Patrick Desy Mitchell in 1953. They settled in the Bronx and had three children. As a family, they moved up to the Cortlandt Manor/Peekskill area where they resided for over forty years.

She was a  woman who can be described as an incredibly selfless mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to a large and very loving family.

Survived by her adoring children, John (Joyce), Frank (Sharon) and Liz Marques (Al), grandchildren, Patrick (Annie), Caitlin, Olivia (Byran), Jessie, Kristen, Nikki and, great-grandchildren, Brayden, Henry, Rory, and Hayes. All her family and friends in Ireland will miss her dearly.

A Memorial Mass for Betty Mitchell will be offered on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at 12:00noon - USA  or 5:00pm - Ireland

The Memorial Mass will be officiated by her nephew, Rev. Patrick MacEntee, P.P.
