Obituary of Carmen Ribeiro

Carmen Maria Ribeiro, 76, of Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, passed away on June 15th in Peekskill, NY.

Carmen was born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico to Jose and Francisca Vega on April 17th of 1943.

She married Lawrence Ribeiro on November 21st, 1964 in Peekskill NY. She worked as a Housekeeper for Westledge Nursing Home for eight years.

Carmen was a very strong woman and devoted mother who dedicated her life to her family. Not only was she devoted to her loved ones she was also a very spiritual woman who attended Tabernaculo De Cristo in Peekskill for the past 23 years.

Carmen is preceded in death by her husband Lawrence of 41 years; brothers; Wenceslao, Eladio, and Heriberto Vega.

Carmen is survived by her sons: Angel, Ricardo, Raul; one daughter: Wendy; two sisters: Maria Antonia, Atlagracia; brother: Jose; grandchildren: Israel, Elisha, Emmanuel, Angelas, Ezequiel, Larry, Aalihay, Alexander, Danny, Jade, Aurora; great-granddaughters; Grace, Mia, Aria.

Visitation will be held at Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington Street, Peekskill, NY 10566 on Wednesday, June 17th from 6 pm until 10 pm.

Reflection will begin by 7:30 pm which will be given by Pastor Frank Vega. Eulogy given by Emmanuel Henry.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 18th at 10 am at Assumption Catholic Church, 920 1st Street, Peekskill, NY 10566.  Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery at 1055 Oregon Road, Cortlandt Manor, NY 10567 .
