Obituary of Jeanne M. Principio

Jeanne passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2020, she was 65 years of age.  

She was born Jeanne Marie Mola to Frank and Giovanna on October 28, 1954, in the Bronx, New York. She spent her childhood in the Arthur Avenue and Belmont sections. Where she made a great many life long friends and enjoyed her favorite penne da casa from Addeo Bakery, olive bread from Madonia's, and Sicilian slices from Catania's.

After Jeanne graduated from Grace Dodge High School Class of 1972, she had a long career as an administrative assistant, spending most of her time at St. Barnabas Hospital.

In retirement, she spent her time baking cakes and making meatballs, taking shopping trips to HomeGoods, and enjoyed playing Let It Ride at various casinos.

She loved lounging with her cats, relaxing by the pool and trips to the beach. Some of her fondest memories were shared in Cape May, NJ, where every summer she'd spend time playing with her grandchildren and walking the beach with her husband. Jeanne had an eye for home decor and made her house a home that hosted many holidays and birthday parties. 

Jeanne is predeceased by her parents, Frank and Gianna, her Aunt Rose, and her sister Patricia. She is survived by her husband of 20 years Joseph, her son Anthony (Irene), her daughter Lauren (Kirk), her step-daughters Jennifer (Jonathan) and Stefanie (Joseph), her granddaughters Kira, Tosca, Mila, and Tessa, and many friends and extended relatives who adored her.

She will forever be remembered for her kindness, her tell-it-like-it-is attitude, and her devoted love for her family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home on Monday, June 22, 2020, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Chapel service is scheduled to begin at 8:00 pm.

Private Cremation Service to follow.
