Obituary of Christopher Edmond Pinto
Christopher Pinto passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 15th, 2020, with his loving father and his father's devoted companion Gerri Tuttle by his side at the Joe Raso Hospice Residence. He was born on June 19th, 1968 in Poughkeepsie New York to Andrew and Carole (Bennetti) Pinto.
Christopher was loved by many and will be remembered for his ability to make people laugh and always fit in wherever he went. After high school, he worked as a surveyor at Donnelly Land Surveying. He moved on to work for Thrift King Auto Service in Cold Spring for Harry Garrabrant who gave him a college education in auto repair. Years later Chris became a partner in Academy Appliances Parts in Mahopac for the next nine years. Upon closing the store, Chris then went to Home Depot for a few years in their appliance department where he made many good friends. He left Home Depot and went to work for the good folks at Appliance Sales Plus in Somers. He finally decided to return back to his mechanical roots of auto repair as Assistant Manager at Monro Muffler in Newburgh. Last, but not least, through it all, Chris loved and continued to play his guitar, and he was a fantastic artist. All his prowess in music Chris credited to his guitar teacher Lou Ubriaco who he idolized. Chris may have never played with AC/DC, Rush, or Led Zeppelin, but he will always be "our" rock star. He was an avid animal lover and loved his cat Missy very much. Missy now resides with his Dad.
Christopher is predeceased by his mother, Carole (Bennetti), his grandparents Edmond and Derna Pinto, Edmund and Jewell Bennetti, cousin, John Pinto.
He is survived by his loving father, Andrew J. Pinto, he will be remembered and missed dearly by his special cousin Tammy Jo Tuttle Odell her husband Jerry Odell, Darlene Florio, Alicia Mastafiac, Mike Clarizio, James and Carly Huba, Helen Stutz, and many cousins from the Pinto, DeFabiis, and Fagan Families.
Visitation will be held on August 20th, 2020 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home.
