Obituary of James Travis
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we share with you the passing of James Travis.
“Jimmy” passed away on October 7, 2020 with his family by his side. Born in Peekskill, New York on December 24, 1944, Jimmy was the son of James and Eleanor Lent Travis. He graduated from Peekskill High School in 1964. Jim had a passion for cars and a love for dogs, especially his beloved Brutus of many years. On his walks to the local deli, Jim would greet each dog that passed with a treat. He always loved a good party and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by two sisters Carol (Joseph) Wilson of Wappingers Falls, New York and Betty Valentine of Cape Coral, Florida as well as several nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by his sisters Barbara Small, Donna Conklin and Linda Hickey. A private graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice Care or Sidewalk Angels at Sidewalk Angels.
