Nikolai and his mother Anastasia looked after me as a child when my mother went to work. We lived in the same house in Yonkers, NY at the time (50s and early 60s); we were like family back then. I last saw him in 1971 when they were living in Nyack NY, and have lost touch since then. I had heard that his sister and mother went back to Russia where they are buried. And that he moved to Florida and married a Latina. Are there any children? If he lived in Florida, why did he die in Peekskill? My mother is 97 now, living with us. We have very fond memories of the Lashkabanoffs and of Nikolai. And we send our condolences to his loved ones.
