Obituary of Helen Groppi
Helen Concetta Groppi passed away peacefully on Monday, January 18, 2021, after a courageous battle for over 7yrs with multiple health issues.
Helen was born June 16th, 1933 daughter of the predeceased Domenic and Emilia Risolia Bronx, New York where she grew up.
Helen was full of joy and spirit. She was very religious and a devote Catholic. After living in the Bronx for many years she moved to Long Island where she lived and grew her two children Priscilla Marie Finelli & Ronald Ralph Finelli
Her biggest joy was cooking, baking and arts, but most of all feeding people and watching them enjoy the food she cooked. The door was always open at the house and she fed friends, family, even strangers including all the kids on the block. Her cookies can never be duplicated. Her food was full of love.
She loved her 5 grandchildren, Andrew, Justin, Brandon, Nicholas, and Celeste; and adored her Great-grandchildren Allyssa, Carly, and Andrew, and many Nieces & Nephews.
She had a personality that was huge. Always joking and making people laugh. She was loved by all that met her. She lit up a room with her spirit and funny personality always joking around that everyone can attest to but especially the residents (her friends) of Drum Hill Senior Living Community, Peekskill, NY where she lived for 8 years.
Helen was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and a great friend.
She will definitely be missed by all.
Memorial mass will be held at the Church of the Holy Spirit on Friday, January 29, 2021, at 11:00 am.
Future Services to be announced at a later date.
