Dear Mary, Michael, BJ, Christopher, Denise, the grandkids, cousins and all the friends who love Barry— When Brian and I got married, I was embraced in love by the entire family. And I didn’t know Cousin Barry well yet, but there were these strange phone calls during the Yankees/Red Sox games where Brian would answer and Barry would laugh and hang up. There was the rivalry behind Brian’s and Barry’s ribs, culminating in the great 4th of July cook-off at our house. No one wanted the animosity from either Brian or Barry, so no one would vote for a favorite. We declared it a tie. But when I spoke to Barry a month or two ago, he claimed to have won. There was never a hash mark in the loss column for Barry! Larger than life, he will leave a hole in the world, but he will always remain with us in spirit and we will honor his spirit by continuing to gather as family. Love and big hugs to all of you! BBT, What can I say. You left us to early my friend. I will miss our calls, even the ones that only lasted a minute or too. So many great memories are flooding my head since I learned of your passing. Memories of working and partying together in NYC, the legendary Christmas Party's at the Tucker (Christmas Vacation) home, blowing circuit breakers before you got all the wiring figured out :). The backyard BBQ's, etc. Godbless you and your Family, see you on the other side. Pete

Rest In Peace to my fathers best friend Barry Tucker who was like an uncle to me my whole life. Barry Tucker was a kind hearted, hilarious, and warm man. His desire to feed the world was so inspiring to me. Wether he was feeding us his famous dirty rice, “burned and baked” ribs, or feeding NYC’s homeless at the Midnight Run, he made sure everyone’s bellies were full of laughter and amazing food. The memory that sticks out to me was the day we visited BBT on a rainy Sunday for surf and turf. Barry had acquired some incredible porter house steaks that fell off of a truck and some enormous lobsters to match. With his newly acquired protein he invited his closest friends for a leisurely lunch. My dad packed my mom, twin sister and I into the car and we were off to feast. We all arrived starving knowing what was in store. When we arrived BBT was drinking wine and smoking a cigar with his neighbor and there was with no aroma of food in the air. Me being a precocious and hungry little seven year old I whined “ I’m hungry now”. And with that annoying whimper Barry put my sister and I to work. In the kitchen there was an enormous pot of boiling hot water, some tongs, and a dozen live lobsters. I looked at my sister out of fear and desperation for food, “let’s do this.” Barry, Laura and I were an amazing assembly line that day. The family dog Amber was happy to eat all of our scraps that we dropped, even though Barry made her some surf and turf as well. We made lobsters for what seemed like forever, dropped corn on the floor, broke several plates and laughed until we cried. Once we finished cooking we ate outside under the awning on a rainy day. We watched the rain and filled ourselves with carnivorous proteins while my dads friends got drunk and shared inappropriate stories at the table. There are endless stories about the love and care Barry Tucker had for all of his friends. I am so glad my father was one of them so I can have memories like this. I love and miss you Mr. Tucker Rest In Peace.

To Mary, Michael, BJ ,Christopher, Denise and the entire Tucker family. I extend my heartfelt condolences. Thank you all for so graciously sharing Barry with us, his T/R and ROLM families. Always opening up your home and life to us while Barry sat and smiled, and smiled and smiled. He did light up the room. Mary, it could not have been easy. The Christmas lights, how did you survive? Needless to say, he was always so proud of you all. When I met Barry, at only 20yo, he was a force to be reckoned with. A bit scary too. That only lasted a second though. It didn't take long for that caring, funny, gentle, kind, generous, smart, crazy man to appear. He was LARGER than life. Over the years, he grew into my hero, mentor and most importantly my dear dear dear friend. I can't recall a bad memory of Barry. Only ones that make me laugh and make me proud to have known him. Barry, I love you dearly. You did it your way. Rest Easy. LK

Ms. Mary, Mike, BJ and Chris- You guys are in our prayers and have our deepest sympathies during this time. Mr. Barry was a wonderful soul and I thoroughly enjoyed all the recent times we spent together in Orlando. I will never forget what a huge Yankees fans he was and him saying, turn the TV to the game because it was time for him to watch them play (-: May God continue to strengthen, comfort and bless you.
