Obituary of Constance Cecelia Civerchia

Constance Cecelia Civerchia, a lifelong Peekskill resident, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021, with her loving family surrounding her.  She was 86 years of age. 

Connie was born in Peekskill on November 17, 1934, the daughter of John and Florence Jentz Simon.  She was raised and educated in Peekskill schools.  A Homemaker, she was married to Raymond Civerchia on January 16, 1955, at the Church of the Assumption in Peekskill.  Mr. Civerchia passed away in 1990.  She enjoyed cooking, drawing, gardening, and she especially loved fishing.  But her greatest passion was spending time with her family. 

Connie is survived by her four daughters; Diane Civerchia, of Florence, KY, Darla (Ken) Henggler, of Newtown, CT, Dawn Civerchia, of Mahwah, NJ, and Doreen (Gary) Popp, of Fishkill, NY;  her grandchildren, Rachel (Greg) Ross, Ryan Lopes, Brian (Jennie) Stave, Kevin (Tracy) Stave, Thomas Stave, Shane Puffer, Eric Puffer, Katie Stave, and Erica Civerchia; and two great-grandchildren, Grant Ross and Elle Stave.  She also has a brother and a sister, John Simon and Florence Sniffen, and her beloved grand pets, Zoe, Juicy, Lele, and Lilly. 

Besides her husband Raymond, she was also predeceased by four sisters, Joan Wirag, Charlotte Dahl, Joyce Rance, and Elizabeth Jones, and her grand-dog, Missy. 

Visitation will be held at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home on Friday, February 12, 2021, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.

Funeral Mass will be held at the Church of the Assumption on Friday, February 12, 2021, at 11:30 am. 

Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
