Obituary of Richard J. Rehak, Jr.

Richard J Rehak Jr., a lifelong Peekskill resident passed away on February 14, 2021. He was 84 yrs old.

Mr. Rehak was a retired employee at the United States Military Academy West Point.  He was born on January 4, 1937, in Peekskill to Richard Sr and Helen Snyder Rehak.

Richard graduated from Hendrick Hudson High School and went on to serve in the United States Army.  He was a devoted member of The Assumption Church in Peekskill, The Knights of Columbus, and a life member of the Peekskill Elks Lodge 744. 

He is survived by two nephews: William (Carol) Rehak Jr. of Pleasant Valley NY, James R. Rehak of Peekskill, and niece Alison Delio of Mahopac. Also, surviving are his 7 great-nephews and nieces and many cousins.

Visitation will be held at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home on Saturday, February 20, 2021, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of the Assumption on Saturday at 11:30 am following visitation.  

Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
