Christina C. Duarte of San Antonio, FL, formerly of Cortlandt Manor, NY passed away on April 28, 2016. She was 77 years old. Mrs. Duarte had worked in customer service at ShopRite in Peekskill for many years. She was born on December 24, 1938 in Peekskill to Andrew and Margaret Brennan Coons. On June 19, 1960 she married Albert Duarte at the Assumption Church in Peekskill. She is survived by her husband of fifty-six years, Albert Duarte, Sr. of San Antonio, FL and two daughters; Veronica (Anthony) Mantegna of Land O’ Lakes, FL and Jacqueline (Christopher) Johnstone of Boynton Beach, FL and five grandchildren; Kimberly, Joseph and Laura Mantegna, James Dean and Jaxson Johnstone. Also surviving are a sister and brother, Amelia Turriziani and John Coons both of Peekskill. Predeceased by a son, Albert Duarte, Jr. in August, 2007. Visitation is Thursday, May 5th, from 4pm to 8pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, May 6th, 11am, at St. Columbanus Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
