Rosa Maria Ruiz, 68, passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021, at 7:17 pm, at NY Presbyterian Cornell Hospital in Manhattan, NY. Rosa had previously been a long-term resident of The Bronx, NY.
Born, June 6th, 1952, in the Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late Francisco and Francisca Ruiz. She was loved by all who knew her with her clever sense of humor and her love for life. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends and helping whenever she could. Rosa worked for MTA until she retired.
She leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law, Adel and Felix Molina of Mohegan Lake, NY. She also leaves behind her adoring grandchildren, Brendon-Tyler, Alexis-Rose, and Ryan-Cody Molina. Oh, How they loved their Nana. Best known as “Titi Puchie” to her wonderful nieces and nephews. She is additionally survived by Her sisters Mirriam Marrero and Zonia Lamb. Rosa enjoyed a precious bond with her truest best friend, Brenda Alvarez, who was like a sister to her throughout her lifetime.
Rosa lit up every room with her beautiful smile, delightful sense of humor, and nurturing ways overjoyed all who met her. Her joy and Vibrance brought life to everything and everyone around. She was Mommy to every friend of mine and Nana to all kids. She loved everyone unconditionally and would give up her last anything for anyone she knew. She was an avid reader who surrounded herself with books. She was passionate about music, dancing, and singing her heart out.
She was everything to me and my family. Her friends turned family were countless! Her beautiful soul is untouchable and has died a legacy! Rosa will always have a special place in the hearts of many.
