Carmela Carbone D’Urso, passed away on Saturday, May 1 2021 at the age of 102.  She was born on December 15, 1918, and was a life- long resident of Peekskill, NY.

She was the beloved mother of Cheryl Dewey and her son-in-law Edward Dewey; her grandchildren William Galuppo and Jenine Karras, and her son-in-law Billy; her great-grandchildren Zoey and Jake Karras; her nephew William Eich and his wife Marianne; her great-niece Brandi Martinez and her husband John, and their children Madison, Hunter, and Dash Martinez.

Carmela enjoyed traveling, cooking, and spending time with her friends and family.  She was a parishioner at Holy Spirit Church and an avid member of the Peekskill Senior Center.

Memorial Service will be held at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, on Thursday, May 6, 2021, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am.

Mass will be held at the Church of the Holy Spirit on Thursday, May 6, 2021, at 11:00 am

Inurnment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to   St. Jude Children’s Hospital as she was a regular contributor.
