Elisa Teresa Santomero, 86, died peacefully of natural causes at Wingate Nursing Home in Fishkill, NY, on May 18, 2021. 

She was born October 18, 1934, in Rocca S. Giovanni, Italy, the daughter of Emilio and Maria (Memme) Caravaggio. She was one of four children. Elisa met Luigi Santomero (deceased) and married, December 29, 1956.  Not long afterward, they moved to Peekskill, NY, where they started their family.  They loved spending time together at the beach, traveling to see their children and grandchildren, and enjoying get-togethers with their friends and family. 

Elisa was an exceptional cook and baker and enjoyed hosting for any occasion.  Elisa loved spending time with and spoiling her six grandchildren whenever possible, and she will be looking down on her newly born great-grandchild, Luciano.

  Elisa leaves behind three children; Daughter, Emilia (Tedona) and her husband John Tedona and their children Johnny, Elisa, and Matthew.  Son; Luciano Santomero (deceased).  Daughter; Maria (Clarkin) and her husband Joe Clarkin and their sons, Joey, Jack, and James.

Visitation will be held at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of the Assumption on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at 10:00 am.

Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
