Obituary of Eileen M. Strang

Strang, Eileen Marie (nee Neff) passed away peacefully at home on July 20, 2021, at the age of 71 years surrounded by her loving family. 

She was born on June 26, 1950, in Croton – on - Hudson, NY.

Eileen was employed as a Registered Nurse, who worked in multiple capacities throughout her 45-year career.  She happily retired following 22 years at the office of Dr. Michael Sparago.  Eileen also worked as a substitute nurse in the Peekskill and Hendrick Hudson School Districts.  She served on the Peekskill School Board and the Board of the Peekskill Lapolla Little League for many years.  

Eileen enjoyed the beach, vacations, holidays, and time with her family.  She made every holiday or family event long-lasting with memories of a lifetime. 

She was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Josephine Neff (Cignarale).

Eileen is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Leslie Richard Strang; she will be lovingly remembered by her 5 children Richard (Renee) Strang, Timothy Strang, Melissa (Chuck) Picariello, Christine (Steven) Sniffen, Patrick (Bonnie) Strang.  As well as 16 grandchildren – Steven, Isaiah, Sarah, Leanna, Danielle, Cole, Kristen, Harper, Avery, Caleb, Mayson, RJ, Lucas, Kaylee, Madyson, and Bryan.  A sister, Carol Gorman also survives.

She battled mightily until the end and will be greatly missed by all that she touched.

Visitation will be held at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington Street, Peekskill NY 10566 on Thursday, July 22, 2021, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm & 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Funeral Mass will be held at the Church of the Assumption, 920 1st street, Peekskill NY 10566 on Friday, July 23, 2021, from 10:00 am to 10:45 am.

Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
