Agnes Callahan, a lifelong Peekskill resident, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2016. She was 88. Agnes was the widow of Edward Callahan, who died in 1974, She was born in Peekskill on March 27, 1927 to Bernard and Anna Mitchell. She was a devoted fan of the NY Rangers, and also enjoyed watching many sports on television. Agnes is survived by her sons, Michael (Dianne) Callahan, and Edward (Susan) Callahan, both of Peekskill, and her 3 grandsons, Geoff, Ryan and Christopher. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her 2 brothers, Bernard and Michael Mitchell, and a sister, Eleanor Stancari. There will be a Funeral Mass on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 10AM at Assumption Church, followed by burial at Assumption Cemetery. There are no visiting hours.
