The officers and members of Cortlandt Hook & Ladder Co., No. 1 are deeply saddened by the loss of our brother and send our heartfelt condolences to his family. We're so sorry for your loss. Dave was a life member of the Truck having served with distinction as both Captain and President. He was an active participant in the activities of our Company and could always be counted on to lend a hand. He will be sorely missed by all.

I was heartbroken to hear about the loss of David. I wanted to write and let you know that you and your family are in my prayers at this difficult time. I realize there are no words that I can write or say to make things better, but please accept my sincere condolences. Debbie, so sorry to hear of Dave’s passing! We worked together at Poritzkys! He wore the best smile had the greatest sense of humor and was always willing to help! He was a genuinely a great guy. David and I shared our 16th birthday parties together. His birthday was July 11 and mine was the 16th. We started the parties at my house on the hill. After a few hours the whole party walked down the hill to his house and continued the party. His was much more fun of course. David was always the life of the party and everyone knew him and loved him. He was our hero. He protected all of us who were lucky enough to be his friend. I will always carry the memory of him and my love for him in my heart. He was such a great friend. Rest In Peace. With love Francie DiIorio
