My Son from another Mother taken way too soon. You became my son and our family over 27 years ago. We shared a home and family together I didn't give birth to you but you are my son. When Janel told me you were gone, I couldn't breathe and was hyperventilating and felt like someone ripped out my heart. You and Janel would fight like 5 year olds at times and I was the referee. But you always made up. I'm broken, numb and can't fathom life without you. You were always there for me, Janel and my Mom as we were for you. I and so many others have so many good memories of you. I met Matthew many year ago when the Town of Yorktown hired Sullivan Data as their IT company. On their first day, the owner of the company Glenn Sullivan, walked in my office with Matthew. Glenn introduced him and told us what he was going to do that day. On that day, Matthew became friends with all of us in the Engineering Department. We looked forward to his visits. To his wit and humor. To his vacation stories. To his smile. To his unending knowledge of computers and his patience with all of us anytime we called and we called for help a lot. He always made us smile. To me he was a bright light. Now I will never hear him greet me on the phone. It was the way he would say “hey” that I just loved. I lost my friend and the world lost a fantastic person. Rest Matthew. I will be looking for you when it’s my time. I want to hear you say “hey” again.

I had the privilege to work with Matt for many years as he was one of the IT techs that supported the Town of Carmel, I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing. He was always professional, supportive and kind. Always going above and beyond to help with any issues that arose.
