Obituary of Susan Mary Erikson

On Saturday, April 2, 2022, Susan Mary Erikson (nee Spor) passed away unexpectedly from complications related to heart surgery.  

Susan was born on January 27, 1955, in New York, NY to Margaret and Francis X. Spor.  She received her BA in English with a concentration in writing and in 1997 she received her MS from New York University for direct marketing.  

She enjoyed a long career in direct mail marketing and fundraising and worked for Mary Knoll Fathers and Brothers in Ossining for the past 14 years.  

Susan’s passions included breeding, showing, and raising Maine Coon cats, arts, and culture, and was never one to shy away from a spirited debate.  

Susan is survived by her brothers, Francis J. Spor (Denise Spor) and Stephen J. Spor, her sisters, Eileen McMahon (John McMahon), and Mary Minieri (Carl Minieri), and numerous nieces and nephews.  

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington Street, Peekskill, NY from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
