John Anthony Sellick, Esq., age 88 of Peekskill, NY passed away on February 6, 2016. He was born on August 31, 1927 in Buchanan, NY to Fioravante and Rosa (Camarra) Sellick. He graduated from Hendrick Hudson High School in 1945, served in the US Navy from July 1945 -1946. John graduated from the University of Notre Dame with honors in June 1953. He earned a law degree from Fordham Law School in 1956 and a Masters’ Degree from NYU in 1959. John practiced Real Estate Law in Rockland County starting in the early 1960’s until his retirement in 2011. On June 14, 1953 he married Juli Ann Olivia at the Assumption Church. Loving father of three sons; Dr. John (Colleen) Sellick, Jeffrey (Lucia Fajardo) Sellick and Jay (Sara) Sellick. Also survived by three grandchildren; Megan (Kieran Casey) Sellick, Michael (Kimberly) Sellick and Kathleen Sellick and two brothers; Reggie and Donald Sellick. Predeceased by his wife Juli Ann Sellick and four brothers; Robert, Sr., Floyd, Richard, Thomas and a sister, Lorraine and one grandson Robert. Visitation is Monday, February 8th, from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, February 9th, 10am at the Assumption Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
